A flow rate with its pressure, at last
Neoperl Perlator DL M24×1, ten pieces, 13.5–15 l/min at 3 bar
A ten-pack from the manufacturer that invented the aerator, and the only listing here whose flow figure means something.
What you are getting
Ten Neoperl Perlator DL aerators with an M24 × 1 male thread, chrome plated, with a seal, at a stated flow of 13.5 to 15 l/min at 3 bar.
13.5 to 15 l/min at 3 bar.
Every other aerator in this catalogue publishes a saving percentage, a bare litre figure, or nothing. This one publishes a flow with the pressure it was measured at, which is the only way that number means anything.
It is also the reason you can compare it directly with the 5.7 l/min water-saving aerator in this hub — the two are describing genuinely different parts.
Full flow, deliberately
At 13.5 to 15 l/min this does not save water. It aerates: air is drawn into the stream so it lands soft and full instead of spattering, and the mesh filters grit.
If you have a good tap and want it to behave as it was designed to, this is the part. If you want a lower bill, the M18.5 aerators in this hub run at about a third of this.
The name
Perlator is this manufacturer’s trademark, and in German it simply became the word for the part. Buying the original is not sentiment — it is the company whose flow figures are written properly.
What is not supplied
A fitting key. Two ten-packs in this hub include one, and a scaled-in aerator needs it.
