The best linear shower drains for 2026

A linear drain is chosen on two dimensions and one number. The dimensions are length, which is a fitting and a design choice, and build height — the vertical space the body needs under the finished floor. Build height is the specification that kills projects: a renovation over a concrete slab may have 6 cm to play with, and plenty of channels need 9. Makers publish it, and low-profile versions exist precisely for this. The number is the stated drainage rate in litres per minute, and it has to exceed what your shower delivers, not match it. Then the part that decides whether you regret it: the trap. Its water seal depth is what keeps drain smells out of the room, 50 mm is the usual reference, and shallow traps trade seal depth for build height. Whether you can lift the trap out to clean it is worth as much as any figure. We compare overall and open length, build height, stated drainage rate, trap water seal depth, outlet diameter, and grate type.

Shower channel · 70 cm · build height 68–80 mm on adjustable feet · 30 l/min stated · removable trap and hair strainer · DIN connections

A 70 cm stainless channel that publishes the one figure a floor channel is chosen by — a build height of 68 to 80 mm — with the complete kit in the box.

  3. SaniteModar 60 cm AISI 304 shower channel, reversible grate

    Shower channel · 60 cm · AISI 304 named · reversible tileable/steel grate · 30 l/min stated · adjustable feet · removable hair strainer

A 60 cm channel that names its steel grade — AISI 304 — and supplies the hook for lifting the cover, which is the tool everyone loses.

Best for: A compact walk-in shower where the steel grade and the cleaning access matter more than raw drainage.

  4. sunrik 90 cm shower channel with a 360° adjustable trap

    Shower channel · 90 cm · 304 stainless · trap rotates 360° horizontally · 40 l/min stated · height-adjustable · X-flow body

A 90 cm channel whose trap swivels through a full circle — which is what saves an installation when the waste pipe is not where the channel wants it.

Best for: A retrofit where the existing waste pipe is in an awkward direction and the channel has to meet it.

  5. Plumbsys 90 cm 2-in-1 shower channel, 77–121 mm feet, 300 kg

    Shower channel · 90 cm · 304 stainless welded · feet 77–121 mm · 36 l/min stated · 300 kg load stated · 360° trap · reversible grate

The only channel here that publishes both a foot height range and a load figure — 77 to 121 mm and 300 kg — on a welded 304 body.

Best for: A tiled floor with an unknown or awkward build-up, where the channel has to adapt to the floor rather than the other way round.
