What you are getting

A tap aerator on a 360° swivelling ball head, with a copper body and a stainless steel filter mesh, fitting an M22 male or an M24 female thread with the supplied adapter.

The swivel is the product

A plain aerator sends water straight down. A ball joint lets it be pointed — into the corner of a sink, at a pan on the drainer, at the bowl you are filling on the side.

On a kitchen tap with a short fixed spout, that is a genuine change in how the sink is used, and it costs about seven euros.

Both threads, in one box

M22 male or M24 female. Between them those are almost every tap on the market, and the adapter is included rather than sold separately.

Unscrew your existing aerator and look: thread on the outside is male, thread inside is female.

The claim to discount

A thirty-point range, with no litres per minute and no reference pressure. One aerator in this hub publishes a real flow figure with the pressure it applies at; this one publishes a marketing span.

The trade-off

A ball joint is a seal at the very end of the spout. It is one more place that can weep, and on a swivelling aerator that is where it eventually will.
