A hook is judged on its stated load capacity and on how honestly that figure is quoted. Manufacturers measure a straight downward pull on a clean, dry, smooth surface at room temperature; a bathrobe grabbed on the way past applies a shock load at an angle, in steam, which is a different test. Halving the stated figure is a reasonable habit. The mounting choices are the same three as everywhere on a tiled wall: screwed, which always holds; adhesive with a backing plate, which holds a genuine few kilos on smooth tile after its stated cure time; and suction, which is for a wet razor and nothing heavier. If you rent, the removable adhesives that release with heat or a pull tab are worth seeking out by name.
