Ten is the right quantity

An aerator is a consumable. In hard water it scales up, the stream goes weak and skewed, and everybody lives with it because replacing one feels like too small a job to bother with.

A ten-pack and a key turns that into one afternoon and every tap in the house.

Read the flow figure carefully

12 to 15 l/min. That is a full-flow aerator: it aerates and filters without restricting.

If your goal is a lower water bill, this is the wrong part — one aerator in this hub runs at about 5.7 l/min. If your goal is filling a pan quickly, this is exactly right.

The maker states its own figure with a caveat about measurement error and pressure differences, which is honest — and it still does not give the pressure it was measured at.

The key is not an accessory

A scaled-in aerator does not unscrew by hand. Without the key it is pliers on a chrome edge, and that edge never looks right again.

On sale at around 9 € on the German Amazon store at the time of checking.
