What you are getting

The 7.8 cm is the one people forget — it is how far the holder sticks into a narrow cloakroom, at the height where a knee passes it.

The load figure and its condition

5 kg is far more than a roll of paper needs, and the number is really about somebody putting a hand on the holder while standing up.

It holds on a smooth, clean, dry surface. Not on textured tile, not across a grout line, not on a wall that has just been sprayed with cleaner. Clean the spot, dry it, press hard, and leave it before loading.

No cover, and what that means

The roll is open to the room. In a bathroom with a shower and no extractor, that means a slightly damp roll and paper that tears oddly.
