The bottom line The best-thought-out small basin here, with three genuinely useful figures. It will not tell you whether it has an overflow.

6 mm walls. Thinner than usual, which makes the bowl look light and increases what it holds for its outside size.
11 cm each side of the tap. The ledge. In a bathroom with no shelf and no windowsill, that is where the soap goes, and most compact basins narrow to nothing there.
Stated as angling the water towards the waste so it drains rather than sitting. On a shallow basin that is the difference between a bowl that dries and one that always has a puddle and a limescale ring.
Overflow, or no overflow.
Slotted waste or unslotted waste depends entirely on it. Look inside for a slot near the rim when the basin arrives, and buy the waste after that.

In a small bathroom, yes — it is where the soap dispenser and the toothbrush glass end up, because there is no other flat surface. Most compact basins narrow towards the tap and leave nothing. Stating the figure is a design decision made visible.
It makes the basin look lighter and it increases the volume inside for a given outside size, which the maker states. It is also less material between a dropped bottle and a chip. Both are true.
