  • Publishes a 25 mm jaw capacity, which is the figure this family should always give
  • At 127 mm it fits inside a vanity cabinet, where a 250 mm pliers cannot be turned
  • 25 mm will not take a tap back nut or a trap connector — those need the larger pliers in this hub

Best for: Small work in confined space — an aerator, a compression nut, a valve spindle inside a cupboard.

What you are getting

A 127 mm water pump pliers in heat-treated chrome-vanadium steel, with push-button adjustment, a stated 25 mm maximum jaw opening, and all-purpose jaws for round, flat, square and hexagonal work.

Small is the specification

A cabinet under a basin is a box you reach into sideways with one arm. A 250 mm pliers cannot be turned in it. A 420 mm one will not go in.

127 mm fits, turns, and reaches the compression nut at the back that nothing else can get to.

The jaw capacity, published

25 mm. That covers a compression nut, a valve spindle, an aerator, a small union.

It does not cover a tap back nut or a trap connector — those are 40 mm and up, and the larger tools in this hub are what take them. Read the number before assuming.

Push-button adjustment

Press, slide, release, one-handed. Inside a cupboard, with a torch in the other hand, that is not a luxury.

The steel, named

Chrome-vanadium, heat treated. The standard for a tool whose teeth have to stay sharp on a chromed nut, and the sort of thing the cheapest pliers in this hub does not state at all.
