A soaked bath sheet weighs about two kilograms, so the margin is generous — and the condition is the same as for every adhesive fitting here: smooth, clean, dry when applied, and left to cure before loading.
A hook stuck across a grout line or onto textured tile holds a fraction of its rating, whatever the number says.
Named adhesive
3M pads, not “strong adhesive”. Naming the tape manufacturer is the same kind of claim as naming a steel grade, and it is the part of an adhesive hook that actually fails.
The hook shape
Classic — open, upward-curving, and stated to hold a towel with or without a hanging loop.
That sounds trivial. It is the difference between a hook that works with the towels you own and one that only works with the towels that have loops sewn in.
The steel
V2A with double rust protection. The European designation for a 304-type stainless — the grade for a fitting that lives in shower spray.
What is not published
Projection, and whether they come off cleanly. One hook set in this hub states outright that it cannot be removed; this one says nothing either way.
