Soft-close, and it will not scratch the tiles
Spirella Swartz stainless pedal bin, 3 litres, soft-close, 25 × 16.8 × 16.8 cm
A stainless bin that closes silently, resists fingerprints, and has a plastic base so it does not scratch the tiles it sits on.
What you are getting
A 3 litre bathroom pedal bin in black stainless steel with an anti-fingerprint coating, 25 × 16.8 × 16.8 cm, with a soft-close lid, an extra-large foot pedal, a removable plastic inner bucket with a carrying handle, and plastic on the base.
Soft-close on a bin is not a gimmick
A steel lid dropping onto a steel rim makes a distinct clack.
In a bathroom that shares a wall with a bedroom, used at the hours bathrooms are actually used, that is the noise somebody hears. A damper is the same argument as a soft-close toilet seat, and for the same reason.
The plastic base
Stated explicitly by the maker: it stops the bin scratching the tiles.
A bin gets nudged by a foot every single day. Bare steel on glazed porcelain leaves grey marks that do not come off.
That is the kind of detail that comes from somebody actually watching how the thing gets used.
The dimensions, published
25 cm tall, 16.8 cm square.
Square is a different shape from the rectangular bin in this hub — it fits a corner well and a narrow slot between pan and wall less well. Measure your gap in both directions.
The anti-fingerprint coating
On a black stainless bin at hand height beside a basin, that is the difference between wiping it weekly and never.
What is not published
Liner size, as with every bin in this hub.
