LOBENSWERK duroplast seat, 120 000 soft-close cycles, two mounting systems review
A seat that publishes a soft-close life of 120 000 cycles — eight times what its nearest rival states — with a template, a video and two mounting systems.
The bottom line The longest-lived damper on the shelf, by the makers' own numbers, with the best fitting kit. Its close is a fast-close, and it says so.
What you are getting
A white seat in urea duroplast stated antibacterial and UV-resistant, with a 25° fast-close, two top-mounting systems, quick-release, a fitting template, a video guide, and 150 kg tested to DIN 19516 with a stated 120 000 soft-close cycles.
The cycle count is the differentiator
120 000. The damper is the part that dies on a soft-close seat: it stops damping, the lid drops, and the seat is scrap even though the plastic is fine.
One other listing in this hub publishes a cycle figure — 15 000. This one publishes 120 000. Neither is independently verified, and only one of them can be compared.
Read “fast-close” as what it says
The maker calls it a 25° fast-close, not a soft-close. That is a lid caught and damped through the end of its travel rather than gliding from fully open. It is honest wording, and it is a different feel.
The fitting kit
Two mounting systems — plug or tilt anchor, covering pans with open and closed fixing holes — plus a template and a video. It is the most complete fitting provision on this shelf.
UV resistance, and why it is on the list
A white seat beside a frosted window yellows on the side that gets the light, unevenly. Stating UV resistance addresses a real and visible failure, and no other seat here mentions it.

Questions people actually ask
What does "25° fast-close" mean?
The maker's own wording. Read it as the lid being caught and damped through the last part of its travel rather than falling slowly from fully open. It is a different behaviour from a full-travel soft-close, and it is what the listing says.
Is 120 000 cycles a meaningful number?
It is the maker's own durability figure for the damper — a dozen closes a day for over twenty years. It is not independently verified, and it is eight times what the only other listing here publishing a cycle count states. A number you can compare beats an adjective.
