  • A hex adapter so a cordless drill does the turning — most of the power of a machine for a third of the price
  • 7.5 m, half again as long as the cheapest auger in this hub
  • A drill turns fast, and a spiral turning fast in a plastic waste can damage it

Best for: A blockage further down the pipe than a hand crank will comfortably reach, with a drill already in the house.

What you are getting

A 7.5 m extra-strong spring steel drain auger, usable by hand or driven by a cordless drill through the supplied hexagonal adapter, with protective gloves and a storage bag.

The drill adapter is the whole idea

A hand crank is slow and tiring on a deep blockage. A powered drain machine costs four times as much.

A hex adapter puts your existing cordless drill in the middle: the torque and the speed of a machine, on a spiral that still costs thirty-five euros.

Use it gently

A spiral turning at drill speed inside a plastic waste can score it or bite into it. Lowest speed, let the spiral find its way, stop as soon as it binds.

The powered auger at the top of this hub has a cable lock and a reverse for exactly this reason; a drill has neither.

The 7.5 metres

Half again as long as the cheapest auger here. That is the difference between reaching a basin trap and reaching the stack behind the wall.

The gloves

Not filler. A spiral coming back out of a drain is turning, wet, and carrying what it went in for.
