Non-corrosive — and no fungicide stated
SIKA Sikasil C sanitary sealant, 300 ml, non-corrosive and primerless
A non-corrosive sealant that suits metal and acrylic where acetoxy silicone is risky — and it does not state a fungicide, which matters in a shower.
What you are getting
A 300 ml cartridge of white sanitary sealant, solvent-free, stated as non-corrosive, needing no primer on most substrates, suitable for glass, metal, wood, acrylic, polycarbonate and ceramic tile.
The non-corrosive claim is the reason to buy it
The best-specified sealant in this hub is an acetoxy silicone: it cures by releasing acetic acid, which bonds beautifully to glazed ceramic and can stain or corrode some metals, some stone and some plastics.
Non-corrosive puts this cartridge exactly where that one should not go: against a metal edge, an acrylic bath, a polycarbonate screen.
Those three materials are named specifically in the listing, which is the useful part.
The omission to weigh
No fungicide is stated.
The other three sealants in this hub all state one, and one of them attaches five years to it. In a shower corner that stays wet, a fungicide is what stops the joint going black in a season.
That does not make this the wrong cartridge — it makes it the right cartridge for a different joint: an acrylic bath edge, a screen upright, a metal trim, where corrosion is the risk and standing water is not.
Read the cartridge when it arrives: manufacturers routinely print more on the tube than appears in a listing.
What no sealant here publishes
Skin time. Full cure time. Joint width range.
The first tells you how long you have to smooth the bead; the second tells you when you can shower. Both are on the cartridge. None of the four listings in this hub gives either.
