The twist is the actual problem

Pick the head up, use it, hang it back. A few hundred times. Each cycle adds a fraction of a turn, and by the end of the year the hose is a coiled spring — shorter than it was, kinked where it bends, and about to split at the collar.

A fixing that lets the hose rotate at the connection stops that happening. It is the only listing in this hub to state one, and it is the reason this hose costs what it does.
