  • Supplied as a pair at 50 cm, which is the length most basins and kitchen sinks actually need
  • No pressure rating at all, on the component whose failure floods a room

What you are getting

Two 50 cm flexible supply hoses in precision-woven stainless steel, each with a 3/8 in female thread at one end and a 1/2 in female thread at the other, rated from 0 °C to 90 °C.

The mixed thread is the product

Taps and angle valves do not always speak the same size. The usual solution is a brass reducing adapter — which costs two euros, adds a joint, and is one more place for water to appear.

A hose that changes thread internally removes both the adapter and the joint. If your tap tail is 1/2 in and your valve outlet 3/8 in, this is the part you actually want.

Check both ends are male

Both ends of this hose are female. That fits the usual arrangement — a male tap tail, a male valve outlet — and the maker asks you to confirm before ordering.

Ten seconds with a torch under the basin.

What is not published

Any pressure rating.

A supply hose is a pressurised component sitting inside a cupboard, unwatched, for fifteen years. Two hoses in this hub publish 10 bar. This one publishes a temperature range and nothing about pressure, which is the more important of the two.
