The bottom line The right filter for a rented kitchen, honestly costed per litre and built in steel where others use plastic. Its long list of reductions carries no certification.

What you are getting

A stainless steel tap-mounted water filter with a coconut-shell activated carbon block and anti-limescale granulate, a 4 µm fineness, a stated capacity of 3 000 litres or four months, an M22/M24 fitting with adapters, a stainless diverter lever and a water-saving aerator.

It goes on the tap, and that is the whole argument

Every other filter in this hub lives under the sink and needs a cupboard, a cold water tee and an afternoon.

This one replaces the aerator on your spout. No plumbing, no cupboard, and it unscrews and comes with you when you move. In a rented flat that is not a compromise, it is the only sensible option.

Steel where it usually fails

The diverter valve and the lever are stainless. On a tap filter, the diverter — the thing you flick between filtered and unfiltered — is a moving part handled several times a day, and it is normally plastic.

What is published

4 µm fineness. 3 000 litres or four months. About 2 cents per litre.

That last one is unusually direct: a running cost, stated by the maker, that can be compared against bottled water.

The declared reductions, and what is behind them

The maker lists chlorine, pesticides, herbicides including glyphosate, solvents, medicine residues, PFAS, heavy metals including lead, and particles to 4 µm.

That is a long list, and no test standard or certification is named for it. Two under-sink filters in this hub cite NSF/ANSI standards and one names an IAPMO certification searchable by model number. This one does not.

And the sentence this page stops short of

The maker states that better-tasting water encourages you to drink more, supporting hydration, concentration and wellbeing.

Reported as the maker’s claim. What is being sold and what is measurable is a carbon block that removes taste and odour compounds down to 4 µm.

Questions people actually ask

Will it fit my tap?

It is made for M22 male and M24 female aerator threads and comes with adapters, which the maker states covers 95 % of taps. Unscrew your existing aerator and look at the thread — if it comes out at all, this almost certainly fits.

How does it compare with an under-sink filter?

It is far easier to fit, needs no cupboard and moves house with you. It also has a much smaller cartridge — 3 000 litres against 11 000 gallons for the largest under-sink filter here — and it sits on the spout where it is visible. Different purchases for different kitchens.
