Three columns in this hub cost half as much and state, in their own first lines, that no mixer is supplied. Adding a thermostat afterwards costs more than the difference. Read the price of this one against a cheaper column plus a thermostat, and it stops looking expensive.
The maker writes scald protection. It is a detent: a stop the hand meets at 38 °C, released by a button. It stops the handle being turned casually into hot water. It does not guarantee the water leaving the fitting is safe, and where that guarantee is needed the device is a thermostatic mixing valve specified for the purpose.
No dimensions. No rail height, no head size, no bracket spacing, no flow, no minimum pressure. On a column — a fitting that has to physically span two holes in a tiled wall — that is a real absence, and the two cheapest columns here do better.

Yes, and that is what separates it from the three columns below it here. Rail, head, hand shower, thermostatic mixer, fixings and instructions. The cheaper columns supply everything except the tap, which is the part that costs the most to add afterwards.
No. It is a mechanical detent — a stop your hand feels, released by a button. It prevents an absent-minded turn into hot water. Where genuine scald prevention is required, a thermostatic mixing valve specified for the job is what provides it.
