The bottom line The channel to buy when the floor depth is the constraint. Its drainage rate is the joint-lowest here, which for an ordinary shower is still ample.

A shower channel is not chosen by its length first — it is chosen by whether it fits inside your floor. Channel, trap and pipe fall all have to sit between the finished tile and the slab. Adjustable feet across a 12 mm range are what make an imperfect floor workable.
The joint-lowest figure in this hub, shared with the 60 cm channel — the others state 36, 40 and 50. For a single shower head at 9 to 12 l/min it is still three times what arrives. It matters if you are fitting a large rain head and a hand shower running together.
Water seal depth. A trap works by holding a column of water; how deep that column is decides how long it survives a dry fortnight before smells come back. No channel in this hub publishes it.

Because a floor channel has to sit inside your floor. The channel body, the trap under it and the fall of the outlet pipe all have to fit between the finished tile and the structural slab. If your build-up is 70 mm and the channel needs 90, no other specification rescues it.
It is the waterproofing layer bonded around the channel before tiling. Water gets under tiles — that is normal — and the membrane is what stops it reaching the floor below. A channel supplied with one is a channel that can be installed properly.
