Why these listings need more numbers than most

A macerator’s vertical lift and its horizontal run trade against each other, and neither figure means anything alone — the makers publish a curve, and it is the curve rather than the headline that says whether your installation is possible.

On the softeners

Capacity is quoted against a water hardness, so it cannot be compared without your own figure, which your supplier publishes. And a softener treats limescale: it is not a health product, and softened water carries more sodium rather than less.
