It is what makes the body dense and the glaze bond permanently. 1280 °C is the sanitary-ware range; decorative pieces fired lower craze and absorb water at chips. It is a real distinction and few listings state it.
Look inside the bowl near the top for a small slot or hole. If it is there, buy a slotted waste; if not, buy an unslotted one. This listing does not say, and the difference decides whether your waste leaks.
