An 8-inch spread is the other common American hole pattern, standard on many vanity tops. A centerset faucet will not cover it, and a deckplate cannot stretch that far. On this shelf, this is the faucet for it.
The spec table gives 8 inches of spout height, 8 inches of spout reach, and an overall faucet height of 7.75 inches. A spout cannot stand higher than the faucet. At least one of those three numbers is wrong, and nothing on the page says which.
So the clearance under the spout is unknown from this listing. If it matters for your basin, check the spec sheet before relying on it.
Pfister writes out what most listings imply: the lead-free certification and the state laws behind it, WaterSense, and a lifetime warranty on both finish and function. It is the same set of statements as the Pfister Vaneri on this shelf, on a different hole pattern.

Measure between the centers of the two outer holes. Eight inches, give or take the adjustable range a widespread body allows, is widespread; four inches is centerset, which takes the Kohler Willamette or the Moen Chateau on this shelf. A widespread faucet has three separate parts — spout and two handles — joined under the counter.
Not as published. The same Amazon.com page lists an 8-inch spout height, an 8-inch spout reach and a 7.75-inch overall height, and a spout cannot be taller than the faucet it sits on. Treat the spout as a mid-height arc and check the maker's spec sheet if clearance under it matters.
It lets you push the water aside to fill a glass or rinse the side of a wide bowl. On a single vanity it is a convenience; on a large basin it decides whether the far corner can be rinsed.
