The 1/2-inch arm fits everything, so judge the spray, the hose and the flow · review
HOPOPRO HS6700CP 6-mode handheld shower review
A low-cost handheld shower with six modes including pause, 1.8 gpm, a 59-inch stainless hose and a brass ball-joint bracket, with tape and washers in the box.
6 spray modes, selected by rotating the face, including pause
1.8 gpm, with a pressure-enhancing design claim
Chrome-plated head; brass swivel ball joint in the bracket
59 in stainless steel hose, angle-adjustable holder, plumber’s tape and rubber washers included
Universal G1/2 connection for standard shower arms
The parts that fail first
On a cheap handheld, the bracket wears before the head: a plastic swivel loosens and the head droops. HOPOPRO puts a brass ball joint there. It is the detail worth the money here.
A pause, at this price
Six modes include pause, which the more expensive Delta and the JDO on this shelf also have. Stopping the flow while soaping keeps your temperature set.
The thread
The listing quotes G1/2, a metric pipe thread, where American shower arms are 1/2-inch NPT. With the washer in place they seal on each other, which is why tape and spare washers come in the box.
What is missing
Face size, weight and any detail about the nozzles. The title’s Consumer Reports Recommended is a claim on the page, without a test result attached.

Strengths, and the catches
Strengths
A pause mode, which stops the water while soaping without losing the temperature
Brass swivel ball joint in the bracket, the part that wears first on cheap holders
Plumber's tape and spare washers in the box, at about $24
Compromises
A G1/2 thread is quoted, a metric pipe thread; it fits US 1/2 in shower arms in practice, but it is not stated as NPT
No face size, no weight, nothing on the nozzles
Its strongest claim, Consumer Reports recommended, is a title line rather than a figure

The questions we get
Will G1/2 fit my shower arm?
American shower arms are 1/2-inch NPT. A G1/2 thread has the same nominal size and the same 14 threads per inch, but it is parallel where NPT is tapered, so the seal comes from the rubber washer rather than the threads. That is why the plumber's tape and spare washers are included. Hand-tighten, then check for drips.
What does pause do?
It reduces the flow to a trickle at the head while the shower valve stays where you set it. You keep your temperature while lathering, instead of turning the water off and finding it again.
Is 1.8 gpm enough?
It is the California limit and below the 2.5 gpm federal ceiling. Most people notice the difference only on low-pressure homes; a smaller spray face keeps the stream feeling stronger.
