The documents that pass inspection
A shower valve goes behind tile for twenty years and, on a permitted remodel, past an inspector first. cUPC and ASME A112.18.1/CSA B125.1 are the two references US codes use for it. This listing states both. The Aolemi on this shelf, with much the same text, does not.
Legal in California
1.75 gpm and CEC approval mean it can be sold and installed in California, where shower heads are capped at 1.8 gpm. The HammerHead system here, at 2.5 gpm, cannot.
The trade
A 10-inch face on 1.75 gpm makes gentle rain. If you want the shower to feel strong, use the handheld, or choose a smaller head where your state allows more flow.

The questions we get
Why do cUPC and ASME A112.18.1 matter?
They are the listing and the standard that US plumbing codes call for on shower valves and fittings. On a job inspected under a permit, a valve without them can be rejected. SR SUN RISE states both; the Aolemi on this shelf states neither.
Is 1.75 gpm enough for a 10-inch head?
It is under California's 1.8 gpm limit, which is why the page cites CEC approval. A 10-inch face on 1.75 gpm gives a gentle rain rather than a strong one; the handheld will feel more forceful.
How does it compare with the Aolemi?
The construction text is nearly identical. What SR SUN RISE adds, for about $36 more, is a larger head, a longer hose, the certifications and a six-year warranty.
