Valve, trim and heads in one box — and the valve goes in the wall · review
Delta Modern 14 Series rain shower system review
Delta's complete Modern raincan system on the MultiChoice valve: Monitor pressure-balanced cartridge, integrated diverter, 10 × 10 in head and handheld, lifetime limited warranty.
What sets this apart from the other systems here is not the head. It is MultiChoice, a rough-in valve whose trims can be swapped later without opening the wall, and the Monitor pressure-balanced cartridge inside it. A shower valve is the part of a bathroom that stays longest.
One trim, two controls
The integrated diverter puts temperature and outlet selection on one plate. The HammerHead system does the same with two handles.
What is not here
A flow rate. And a reason to pay $649 if the trim is all you will ever touch: the SR SUN RISE states cUPC, ASME A112.18.1 and 1.75 gpm for about $126.

The questions we get
What is MultiChoice?
Delta's universal rough-in valve. The valve in the wall stays the same and the trims above it can be changed later, between styles and functions, without opening the wall again. That is the real long-term value of a major-brand system.
What does the Monitor cartridge do?
It is Delta's pressure-balanced cartridge: it keeps the hot and cold mix steady when pressure on one side changes, so the temperature does not jump when a toilet is flushed. US codes require this kind of protection on shower valves.
Why is there no flow rate?
The listing does not give one. Delta sells raincans in several flow ratings; check the head's marking or ask the seller if you live in a state with a 1.8 or 2.0 gpm limit.
