DUMOS 36 × 48 in LED mirror review

A 36.1 x 48.1 in LED bathroom mirror — the largest here — with three color temperatures and memory.

What the maker puts in writing

  • “This LED mirror clears fog from the center out, ensuring a clear reflection after showers. Central area stays clear while edges gradually defog”
  • Three color temperatures: Warm White (3000K), Natural White (4000K) “for true-to-color makeup application”, Cool White (6500K) for precise grooming
  • A smart memory function saving and restoring the last used brightness and color temperature
  • Touch control dimming “from a subtle 20% glow for nighttime visits to 100% full brilliance”
  • A modern rectangular mirror with a slim profile and integrated LED technology

Seven dollars twenty-nine

The cheapest published glass on this shelf, and the clearest piece of arithmetic on it.

DUMOS sells three mirrors here with word-for-word identical bullets:

24.1 x 32.1 — 5.37 sq ft — $56.90 — $10.60 per sq ft 36.1 x 36.1 — 9.05 sq ft — $75.40 — $8.33 36.1 x 48.1 — 12.06 sq ft — $87.91 — $7.29

More than double the smallest one’s area, for forty per cent more money.

The reason is structural: the LED strip, the defogger pad, the touch sensor, the driver and the carton cost roughly the same whatever the sheet behind them measures. Only the glass scales.

If the wall takes twelve square feet, this is the mirror on this shelf.

Which makes one omission harder to overlook

No glass thickness. No tempering.

Twelve square feet of glass, hung at head height, above a hard sink.

Tempered glass is heat-treated so that it breaks into small blunt pieces instead of long shards — the reason shower screens and car side windows use it.

And the Antok on this shelf publishes 0.20 in (5 mm) tempered glass. The specification exists in this price range. It is simply not on this page, which is the one where it matters most.

Ask before ordering.

And the weight does not work

DUMOS lists this mirror at 20.6 lb (9344 g) and its 9.05 square foot mirror at 20.6 lb (9344 g).

A third more glass cannot weigh the same, and glass is nearly all of a mirror’s mass.

For scale: the Antok here is 13.0 lb (5897 g) for 7.5 square feet — about 790 grams a square foot — which would put twelve square feet near 20.9 lb (9.5 kg). So this figure may be roughly right and the smaller one wrong.

Either way: twelve square feet of mirror wants fixings into studs, not anchors into drywall, and this listing does not itemize its mounting hardware at all.

The feature set, which is adequate and unremarkable

Three color temperatures to 6500 K. Dimming to 20%. A center-out defogger. A memory function.

What is missing is the same on all three identical listings: no CRI — the figure that would support the “true-to-color” claim in bullet two, where color temperature cannot — no defogger shut-off, and no word on whether it plugs in or hard-wires.

Only the Antok on this shelf answers any of those three.

Strengths, and the catches

Strengths

  • Seven dollars twenty-nine a square foot, the cheapest published glass on this shelf and 31% below the maker’s own smallest mirror
  • Twelve square feet: more than twice the 24.1 x 32.1 mirror’s area for forty per cent more money
  • The same memory function, dimming and three color temperatures as every other DUMOS here

Compromises

  • Listed at the same 20.6 lb (9344 g) as the maker’s smaller 36.1 x 36.1 mirror, which has a third less glass — one figure is wrong
  • Publishes no glass thickness and no tempering, on the largest sheet of glass on this shelf
  • No CRI, no defogger shut-off, no mounting hardware itemized and nothing about how it takes power

The questions we get

Is the biggest really the best value?

On price per square foot, unambiguously. DUMOS’s three identically specified mirrors on this shelf work out at $10.60, $8.33 and $7.29 a square foot as they get bigger (Amazon.com, October 29, 2026), and this is the cheapest. Twelve square feet for $87.91, against 5.37 square feet for $56.90 — more than double the area for 55 per cent more money, with the same published features down to the wording. That is simply how mirrors are priced: the electronics, the defogger pad and the packaging cost much the same whatever the sheet behind them measures.

How much does the missing glass specification matter here?

More than on any other mirror on this shelf, because this is the biggest. Twelve square feet of glass hung at head height above a hard sink is a serious object. Tempered glass is heat-treated to fail into small blunt pieces rather than long shards, which is why shower screens use it. The Antok on this shelf publishes 0.20 in (5 mm) tempered glass — so the specification is available in this price range, and it is not given here. On the largest mirror in the range that is the question to put to the seller before ordering.

What does 9344 grams mean if it is also the smaller mirror’s weight?

It means one of them is unreliable, and on a mirror this size the weight decides the fixing. DUMOS lists 20.6 lb (9344 g) for this 12.06 square foot mirror and 20.6 lb (9344 g) for its 9.05 square foot one. Glass is nearly all of a mirror’s mass, so a third more glass cannot weigh the same. For scale the Antok here is 13.0 lb (5897 g) for 7.5 square feet — about 27.9 oz (790 g) a square foot — which would put twelve square feet nearer 20.9 lb (9.5 kg), so the figure may be roughly right for this one and wrong for the smaller. Either way, on twelve square feet the fixings want studs, not drywall anchors.
