FORIOUS 2-in-1 purified water faucet review

A pull-down kitchen faucet with a built-in drinking water tap on a second handle, for an under-sink filter or RO system you supply — NSF 61 and DOE stated, and non-air-gap.

What the listing puts in writing

  • A pull-down kitchen faucet and a built-in filter faucet in one unit; DOE, NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 and lead-free
  • Stream, spray and pause; 18 in retractable hose; 360° swivel; 1.8 gpm at a maximum of 80 psi
  • No-lead SUS304 stainless, drip-free ceramic cartridges, high-temperature PEX hoses
  • A non-air-gap drinking water faucet, compatible with most under-counter RO and filtration systems, not included
  • Installs in under 15 minutes; no extra drilling

Two faucets on one hole

The point of a 2-in-1 is the countertop: a filter normally means a second small faucet and a second hole. Here the drinking water comes out of the main faucet on its own handle.

A pressure beside the flow

1.8 gpm at a maximum of 80 psi is one of the few flow figures on this site tied to a pressure. It tells you the number is a ceiling, reached at high supply pressure.

Air gap: check before buying

This is a non-air-gap faucet. Many current reverse osmosis systems do not need one; some do, and some local codes ask for it. Read your filter’s manual first.

What is not stated

Whether the filtered line is independent all the way to the outlet, as the KRAUS on this shelf states. A warranty term. A UPC.

Strengths, and the catches

The questions we get

What does non-air-gap mean?

An air-gap faucet has a built-in gap in the RO system's drain line, which some systems and some local plumbing codes require to stop waste water siphoning back. This faucet has none. Most RO systems sold today use a drain saddle and do not need one, but check your system's manual and any local rule before ordering.

Why two handles?

The main lever mixes hot and cold for the pull-down spout. The second, smaller handle opens the drinking water outlet fed by your filter. Keeping them apart means filtered water is never mixed with hot.

Does it include a filter?

No. The title says without water filtration device. It connects to an under-counter system you buy separately.
