What the maker puts in writing
- “Dual nozzles for separate rear and feminine washing, offering a refreshing, hygienic clean for seniors and adults”
- “Both nozzles and spray paths on this non electric bidet toilet seat are self-cleaning, providing worry-free hygiene after every use”
- “Customize your clean with the easy-to-use dual lever system, allowing adjustable water pressure for personal comfort… without any electricity required”
- “The elongated, raised seat adds comfort and accessibility, ideal for seniors or anyone needing extra support. The soft close toilet seat lid closes quietly, preventing slamming”
- “No electricity or complex plumbing necessary—this bidet attachment for toilet installs easily in minutes. Perfect for renters and homeowners alike… without permanent modifications”
The raised seat is the product
Everything else on this shelf washes. This one also makes the toilet easier to get off.
Standing up from a low seat loads the knees and hips hard, and two or three inches of extra height removes most of that load. It is why raised seats are standard after a hip replacement and in care homes, and why they are the most useful bathroom modification there is short of a grab rail.
Combining it with washing is genuinely well thought out, because the person who cannot easily stand is frequently the same person who cannot easily reach.
This is the only product on this shelf that does both.
And the figure that should be on the page and is not
How much higher?
Two inches and four inches are different products. Two is a comfortable nudge; four changes how your feet sit on the floor and can make things worse for a shorter person.
homfan says raised and publishes no number, which on the one feature that distinguishes this product from everything around it is the real weakness of the page.
Nor are there any seat dimensions. Brondell, on this shelf, publishes its elongated seat as 20.03 x 14.39 x 2.55 in and its round one as 18.47 x 14.34 x 2.55 in. This publishes nothing but the word elongated.
Self-cleaning nozzles and paths
Three products on this shelf address what happens to the nozzle between uses, and they do it two ways.
A guard gate, as on the LUXE: the nozzle hides behind a shield so less reaches it.
Self-cleaning, as here: the nozzle is rinsed — and homfan says the spray paths as well, not merely the tip, which is the fuller version of the claim.
Neither maker says how much water or for how long, so neither can be measured. Both are better than the silence offered by the BIGCOW and by both Brondell seats, which cost more than this.
A soft-close lid, which the Brondells answer differently
homfan publishes a soft close lid.
The two Brondells publish a gentle closing seat and a sturdy, sittable lid — a different and also useful claim, because many toilet-seat lids cannot be sat on and a bidet seat is a thing people perch on while running a bath.
Pick the one that matches the household.
Fifty-seven dollars
Thirty-three dollars less than the elongated Brondell, with self-cleaning and a soft-close lid that Brondell does not publish, and the raised height that nothing else here has.
What Brondell gives in return is published dimensions, a sittable lid and a company that has been making these for years.
One thing to clear up before ordering
The title says bidet toilet seat. Two bullets say bidet attachment for toilet.
Those are not the same object. A seat unbolts the one you have and replaces it, and must match the bowl. An attachment slides underneath the seat you keep.
The 5.7 lb (2572 g) weight and the soft-close lid both say seat. Confirm it, and confirm your bowl is elongated, before you buy.
