A German maker with a US range: 1.2 gpm, 3/8-inch hoses

hansgrohe sells two different catalogs. The European faucets are rated in liters per minute and connect on threads that American shutoff valves do not have; several of them were reviewed on this site earlier and have been withdrawn because they are not sold, or not suitable, in the United States. The 71258001 is the American Logis Fine: 1.2 gpm, with 3/8-inch flexible connection hoses, the configuration an American vanity has under it.
ComfortZone. hansgrohe names the working space between spout and basin, here 240 mm, about 9.45 inches. On a vessel sink, that figure minus the bowl’s rim height is the room your hands get, and it is a more useful number than the faucet’s overall height.
EcoRight. A flow regulator that holds the faucet at 1.2 gpm as the supply pressure varies, rather than a simple restrictor.
AirPower and a coin-change aerator. Air is mixed into the stream, and the aerator comes out with a coin for descaling, which on a tall faucet in hard water is the maintenance that matters.
Federal rules allow a bathroom faucet up to 2.2 gpm, and the EPA’s WaterSense label asks for 1.5 gpm or less. California, and several states that follow it, cap lavatory faucets at 1.2 gpm. The 71258001 sits exactly on that line, so it can be sold and installed in the strictest states without swapping the aerator.
The trade is a gentler stream. On a tall faucet over a deep vessel bowl, 1.2 gpm fills a basin more slowly than an older 2.2 gpm faucet would; for washing hands and rinsing a razor, it is enough, and EcoRight keeps the flow steady when someone else in the house runs a tap.
No drain in the box, where the two other vessel faucets on this site include one. No UPC on the listing. And hansgrohe recommends a licensed plumber for installation.
At about $157, the Logis Fine 240 is between the gotonovo at about $53, which publishes more spout height, and the solid brass KRAUS Arlo at about $180, which includes a matching drain.
